PVA Shrink Tape
DESCRIPTION: SHRINK TAPE III is an oriented PVA tape designed to shrink during the cure cycle and apply pressure to the composite lay-up or adhesive bond.
APPLICATION: SHRINK TAPE III is normally wrapped over the laminate on the mold with pressure sensitive tape put in place to prevent movement during cure. The assembly is then exposed to heat and the SHRINK TAPE III begins applying pressure (onset of shrink) at 190°F (88°C) with maximum shrinkage at 300°F (149°C).
