Resin and Vacuum Ports

DESCRIPTION:
VIP Si-Al Reusable Connectors are available as a Resin or a Vacuum Port. The Resin Port (upper right) has molded channels to allow attachment to VIP Omega Channel tubing or consumable tubing. The Vacuum Port (lower right) has recessed channels on the base to allow for even vacuum distribution through the VIP Resin Break.

VIP Si-Al Reusable Connectors are attached to resin or vacuum tubes through the outer bag in order to provide leakproof flow of resin or vacuum. The VIP Si-Al Reusable Connectors consist of a silicone rubber base with threaded aluminum inserts for added strength and vacuum integrity.

The VIP Si-Al Reusable Connectors are designed for use with consumable tubing (high temp or low temp) also offered by Richmond Aircraft.

The inherent release properties of silicone rubber allow easy removal of most cured resin systems from the VIP Si-Al Reusable Connectors.

APPLICATION:
Attach collar to ½" tubing and thread into base. Tighten until tubing will not release with a slight pulling motion. When using VIP Si-Al Reusable Connectors, a strip of peel ply or flow media should be placed under VIP Si-Al Reusable Connectors to enhance resin or vacuum flow.
